Preschool Program Schedule

7:30 � 8:15 �Breakfast Club�

7:30 � 8:30 Good Morning Playtime

The children are allowed to do art, free play with special toys, blocks, legos and look at books.

8:30 � 9:30 *Outside Set Up / Playtime

The morning starts with an opportunity to help set up the outside environment. Children have the opportunity to run, climb, and play with their friends.

9:30 � 10:00 Good Morning Time / Spanish / Snack

The good morning time consists of doing the calendar and weather in both English and Spanish as well as a lesson in Spanish. Children are selected to do classroom jobs. Demonstrations of jobs and art activities are shown at this time.

10:00 � 11:00 Independent Work Time

Each child works freely and independently throughout the classroom at their own pace, using their verbal and social skills along with small and large motor control. Children learn to enjoy the environment and care for it, as well as respect it as their own.

11:00 � 11:15 Group Time / Sharing

Children come together to enhance their lesson through songs and books. This is a wonderful way to introduce new ideas, vocabulary and to develop good listening skills. The children have a time to share theme related items they brought from home. Sharing helps them to make choices, develop social skills, independence, and self esteem.

11:15 � 11:30 *Outside Play Time

A time to unwind from a busy, busy morning!

11:30 � 11:45 Prepare for Lunch

The children wash their hands and go to the lunchroom to enjoy their lunch.

11:45 � 12:20 �Lunch Time�

12:20 � 2:30 Rest Time/Afternoon Class

Our children prepare for naps and/or a rest time. The older children (4 year olds and older and who are ready will attend a special Afternoon Class from 1:30 � 2:30. The teacher and director determine this.

2:30 � 3:30 *�Rise and Shine�/Outside Time

Children are allowed to wake up at a gentle and relaxed pace.

3:30 � 4:00 Snack Time / Story Time


4:00 � 5:00 *Outside Time, Music, Art, Movement, Books

The children have an opportunity to clean up our outside environment and to run, climb and look at books.

5:00 � 5:30 Prepare to Go Home

Children wash their hands/face, look at books, or enjoy music/art movement.

* If we are unable to go outside due to the weather, the children will have additional independent work time.
